Donate to SHARE

For over 40 years, SHARE has served tens of thousands of individuals through the generous support of the communities we serve: donations of individuals, businesses, churches, foundations, and civic organizations make up almost all of the $800,000 we need to raise annually in order to continue our mission.  With the exception of a few thousand dollars from the four towns we serve, SHARE receives no funding from the government.

We are responsible stewards of your gifts

We know that the generosity of our benefactors makes all the difference in our success. SHARE adheres to the intent of each donor’s gift and practices financial transparency and accountability to our donors. We strive for practicing the highest ethical standards in stewarding those donations so generously given. Therefore, we practice truthfulness and integrity in financial communications. All representations of fact, description of financial condition, or narrative about organizational needs, to the best of our knowledge, are current, complete and accurate. 90% of all donations go directly to supporting our mission, with only 10% to administration and fundraising. A financial donation is the most flexible gift of all. There are several ways to make a financial gift:

  •  Stop by the SHARE Center during business hours and make a cash or gift card donation.

Food Donations

Donations for the Food Pantry can be made at the SHARE Center when the SHARE Center is open, (generally Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30), at local churches, or at bins in Milford Shaw’s and Market Basket.

The Food Pantry accepts non-perishables, paper goods, and personal hygiene items. The Pantry is always in need of toilet paper, and large size diapers.

SHARE’s Food Pantry aims to always have nutritionally sound offerings to its shoppers. Please consider the following items:

  • Meat and proteins: Beef stew, chicken stew, chili, tuna, lentil soup, peanut butter, nutritional drinks for seniors (i.e. Ensure)
  • Dried goods and canned goods: All canned fruits and vegetables, pastas and pasta sauce, canned and bottled juices, macaroni and cheese, dried beans and peas, rice, breakfast cereals and oatmeal, bread, tortillas, crackers, soups, flour, sugar, cooking oils
  • Dairy: Powdered and canned milk (unsweetened)
  • Healthy Snacks
